Full Tour Description

Duration: 3 hours

You probably already know of the great reputation that Czech beers have, and this tour is your chance to learn how it’s made, why it’s popular and, of course, taste some for yourself! On this tour you’ll see that the Pilsens and Budvar beers from all over the world are not real beer! Welcome to the world of Prague microbreweries.

Prague Microbreweries

This will be an evening of sampling small production beers (known as micro-brews) from some of the highest quality small breweries in the world. Also we’ll be eating some of the most delicious traditional Czech beer snacks on offer in Prague. With a long established history of beer making, the Czechs really are the standard bearers for the craft. For over 1000 years Czech beer has been supported by Kings and embraced wholeheartedly by the Czech people. With a loving touch by skilled brew masters, it has gained world wide respect.

Come on this tour with a parched thirst and we promise to fill your glass with some of the most robust lagers and stouts you’ll have ever tasted. No large factory multinational beers on this tour. We start by visiting a beer museum in downtown Prague. Here you’ll learn about the Czech Republic’s rich beer history and culture. During the museum visit you’ll be able to see real beer brewing props from the Medieval times and you’ll try several types of beer on site and taste the local specialty snacks. Be sure that your guide will have some great stories to tell.

Hmmm…Beer Snacks!

After we will visit a small, centuries old building that is a beer hall where they still brew their own beer right in the middle of Prague’s inner Old Town. This small brewery is a secret gem, not shown in the tourist guides and often overlooked by the average visitor to Prague. Your guide will tell you about the current beer-making scene in the country and let you enjoy a few top-notch varieties of delicious Czech craft beer. Amidst all of the beer drinking, we’ll also get into the particulars of what Czech cuisine is all about. The waiter will bring a platter of traditional Czech beer snacks from a local chef. Here you can try what Czechs like to eat along with their beer.

Don’t hesitate to get yourself on this small group exclusive tour not just for beer connoisseurs and food travelers but for those who’d like to really get to know the Czech culture and what holds it together – food and beer!

Our Prague microbreweries walking tours are small personal groups and generally do not have more than 8 participants, making them interactive and personal and giving you plenty of chances to ask questions and get to know your guide plus hit them up for local tips on where to go and what else to do.
